After 42 seasons, 902 wins and an endless string of controversies, Bobby Knight has called it a career. Some loved him, others thought he was overrated but he sure was entertaining. What do you think of Knight -- great coach or huge jerk?

This story is almost too strange to believe. Offensive lineman Kevin Hart of Fernley, Nev. thought he was heading to Cal on a football scholarship only to find out it was all a practical joke. It turns out that not only did Cal Coach Jeff Tedford not offer Hart a scholarship, he never made official contact with the recruit.

Book Sting at Iowa State

In a scene that would make Seinfeld's Mr. Bookman proud, an Iowa State student was nabbed trying to steal a text book. If only the Iowa State police could figure out how former Cyclone Marcus Fizer was able to steal an NBA paycheck for five seasons (he's now playing in Israel, in case you were wondering), we could rest easier.

Good Job, Lamar

When we last we heard from Lamar Thomas, he was inciting a brawl during the Miami-FIU game two seasons ago. Now the former Hurricane receiver is going back to The U to get his degree.

Today is Super Tuesday, and if endorsements by college papers are any indication of real politics, Barack Obama should be a happy man. The Illiois senator received support from 26 schools while Hillary Clinton only has two schools backing her. UWire has the breakdown of all the candidates and which schools are endorsing them.

Forget Wednesday night's showdown between No. 2 North Carolina and No. 3 Duke. The best match of the winter took place ... in men's swimming. The No. 2 Arizona squad -- inspired by their "Beastmode" T-shirts -- upset top-ranked Texas by a score of 200.5 to 152.5.
