UNC's Biggest Party Animal
No Tar Heel parties harder than women's coach Sylvia Hatchell. :: Kevin Cox/Wireimage, AP
The Tar Heel men may not be proud of their performance against Duke this week, but the women's team -- which beat the Blue Devils 96-73 on Monday -- has plenty to celebrate, especially Sylvia Hatchell. The Tar Heels coach demanded the team bus -- en route home from Durham after the game -- stop on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill so she and her team could decorate a tree with toiler paper. That is until a cop came and busted the celebration.
Eric Gordon Returns Home
Indiana's Eric Gordon -- who said he would attend Illinois before backing out and choosing Indiana instead -- made his first appearance in Champaign last night and as expected, didn't get the warmest greeting from the Illini faithful. Our favorite moment was when Gordon was given an "I don't like you one bit" chest bump from Illini guard Chester Frazier during pregame introductions, rocking Gordon several feet backward (if anyone has a video of this, please send it here).
The Duke men may have bested UNC on Wednesday, but as The Bleacher Report notes, the school was in violation of an obscure collegiate rule which limits the number of spoiled rich kids allowed at any given institution, and may have to forfeit the game. But cheer up Dukies, Men's Health has crowned Durham the least dangerously drunk city in America.
