Your guide to the weekend -- SIOC style

FRIDAY

Sick of seeing Jenna Jameson in adult films? The porn queen makes her R-rated screen debut in 'Zombie Strippers.'

Herschel Walker Book Signing, University of Georgia, 12:30 p.m.

Fresh off his appearance on "60 Minutes" the former Bulldog star will be signing copies of "Breaking Free" at the UGA bookstore. Any students who happen to be unhappy with the book can trade it in for the autobiographies of Emmitt Smith, Darren Woodson, Russell Maryland, and four future best selling sports books.

2008 Conference of Governors on Climate Change, Yale University

At least five U.S. governors (and Quebec Premier Jean Charest!) will attend this two day event. Highlights include Friday speeches by 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winner R.K. Pauchari and former thespian Arnold Schwarzenegger.

NCAA Baseball, San Diego State at UNLV, 6:30 p.m.

The last time Aztecs right-hander Stephen Strasburg was on the hill he struck out 23 Utah batters. Although UNLV will likely face him only once in the weekend's three game series, it could be a long day for their hitters.

In Theaters: Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Zombie Strippers

Here's a dilemma. If you only have time for one movie this weekend what do you go see? The new Judd Apatow produced flick (written by and staring the hilarious Jason Segel) which has already received glowing reviews or Jenna Jameson's debut in an R-rated starring role?

SATURDAY

Crawfest, Tulane University, 11 a.m.

I'm not an expert on all the crawfish festivals of the world, but I assume not many can match Crawfest's 15,000 pounds of free crawfish. Once you're sufficiently stuffed, sit back and take in the sweet sounds of seven different musical acts.

Jordan Brand All American Classic, ESPN2, 9 p.m.

Tyreke Evans makes his debut as a future Memphis Tiger (as long as John Calipari stays). Joining Evans in the 40-minute dunk contest are future Hoya Greg Monroe, Jared Bayless 'replacement, Brandon Jennings, and Lil Romeo's pal, Demar DeRozan.

SUNDAY

Dalai Lama Lecture on Sustainability, University of Michigan, 2 p.m

Some may wonder if this sustainability talk is part of an intricate conspiracy to kidnap the Olympic torch. I, on the other hand, wonder if the Dalai Lama will discuss how beating Ohio State once in a while is important for the sustainability of the Big Game football rivalry.

National Intramural Basketball Championship, Ohio State University

For the 99% of us without the determination, drive, and physical gifts to be an NCAA athlete, intramural sports are all there is. The winners won't get the publicity of Kansas, but at least they get to come up with their own team name.
