BIOGRAPHY: Moved into the starting lineup as a freshman and was rotated with the first team the next four years. Senior-year rushing totals included 148/779/10 with 10/84/2 catching the ball. Tore a knee ligament mid-way through the 2006 season.

POSITIVES: Small, elusive ball-carrier who plays bigger than his size. Waits for blocks to develop, quickly finds the running lanes, and immediately gets through them. Runs with authority keeping the play alive and trying to pick up positive yardage. Does not go down without a fight. Will pick his spots on the inside, quickly cuts back to make defenders miss, and has a burst of speed. Runs with good balance and a solid pass-catcher out of the backfield.

NEGATIVES: Limited size and growth potential will be a problem at the next level. Not a pile-mover or an effective short-yardage runner. Prior knee injury hindered him at the beginning of last season.

ANALYSIS: Brown possesses the tools to be a third-down/change-of-pace runner at the next level. He'll have an opportunity to compete for a job if his knee is healthy.
