BIOGRAPHY: Junior-college transfer who started the past two seasons. Senior-year totals included 42/4/1.5 after 34/4/1 the previous year.

POSITIVES: Thick, powerful interior defensive lineman who.s charging up draft boards. Plays with excellent pad level, quickly gets off the snap, and a load on the inside. Commands double or triple teams, shows tremendous leg-drive, and bull-rushes opponents off the ball, collapsing the pocket. Holds his ground against blocks and rarely gives up an inch. Hustles and gives top effort until the whistle blows. Possesses a burst of speed to the action and very explosive.

NEGATIVES: Struggles getting off blocks once engaged and shows minimal hand technique and moves. More of a straight-line player who lacks pass-rushing skills.

ANALYSIS: Rubin comes off a terrific senior campaign in which he took his game to another level. He offers the size, skill, and ability to be used at nose tackle and will be a productive NFL starter as long as he continues to improve his game.
